Tire Installation
When you have your tires installed at Tire-Rama, you can feel confident that your new tires are the right size for your truck, SUV, passenger car, or other vehicle. Once your new tires are fitted, we also offer an extensive range of tire services to ensure that your vehicle remains safe, and that you get the most out of your new tire purchase.
Tire Puncture Repair
Have you had the misfortune of a punctured tire and need it repaired or replaced? Contact your nearest Tire-Rama for assistance. We can assess your tire damage and have you back on the road with minimal stress.
Our qualified ASE-certified technicians will repair your punctured tire when possible, or provide you with replacement tire recommendations should the tire be too damaged for repair. If the puncture has occurred in the centre of the tire tread and is a ΒΌ inch, or smaller, in size then we can generally make the necessary repairs.
If a repair is not an option, we supply and fit a great range of tires from all the leading brands, including Cooper Tires, Bridgestone, Firestone and Yokohama. We can talk you through your options to find a solution that works for you.
Tire Rotation
You can preserve the life of your tires by having a tire rotation every 6,000 miles. You can find out when your truck, SUV, passenger car or other vehicle is due for a tire rotation by looking in the owner's manual.
There are other times, outside the recommended tire rotation schedule, when you might need to make an appointment with Tire-Rama. This includes if you have spotted uneven tire wear on one or more tires, or if you start to notice a vibration in the steering wheel or seat when travelling at higher speeds.
Regular tire rotations aim to even out the wear patterns that occur between your front and rear tires by rotating the position of each of the tires on your vehicle in a systematic way. This allows the tires to operate in a number of different wheel positions, which can improve performance, prolong tire life and maintain balanced handling and traction.
Wheel Balance
It's important that your vehicle has the correct wheel balance. Unbalanced wheels may result in premature tire wear, and accelerate the wear of your shock absorbers, struts and steering components. These problems can have a negative impact on the overall performance of your vehicle and can cause unnecessary and expensive repairs or replacements.
You should have a wheel balancing service every time a tire is fitted to a wheel. Your vehicle may also need a wheel balance if you notice:
- The steering wheel is shuddering, particularly when travelling at higher speeds
- Uneven or rapid tire wear
- That you've hit a curb or pothole, which can cause the loss of a wheel weight
At Tire-Rama we offer computerized wheel balancing services where a wheel spinning machine is used to diagnose balance. A computerized wheel balance means that your vehicle will have perfectly balanced wheels that can improve gas mileage and provide you with a smooth ride.
